A Cross-Border Project for Stress Prevention and Workplace Well-Being<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

In a time when mental health issues and burnout are becoming increasingly prevalent, SenTech AI (Eindhoven) and Televitas (Ghent)<\/b> are joining forces to develop an innovative solution. Supported by 2H-center (Anderlecht) and Eindhoven University of Technology<\/b>, they are creating a real-time system that monitors and analyzes mental stress, fatigue, and concentration levels. This cross-border initiative, made possible by the Interreg CrossRoads<\/b> subsidy program, contributes to a future-proof and prevention-driven healthcare system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Urgency: Work-Related Stress and Burnout in the Netherlands and Flanders<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

The numbers are alarming: in the Netherlands, 20% of employees suffer from burnout-related complaints, while in Flanders, 36.1% of employees experience work-related stress, with one-third facing a high risk of burnout. Work-related stress not only leads to long-term absenteeism and rising healthcare costs but also negatively impacts productivity and overall well-being. This project aims to tackle these challenges through advanced technology that detects and addresses mental stress early.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Technology: Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) and AI<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

SenTech AI has developed a ring with an integrated Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensor<\/b>, which measures subtle changes in skin conductivity linked to mental stress and emotional strain. Using advanced AI algorithms, the system accurately predicts stress levels, mental fatigue, and concentration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Televitas integrates this technology into its digital healthcare platform, which is already widely used for hybrid patient monitoring. The platform enables seamless communication between patients and healthcare professionals while aggregating data from various sensors and wearables. By combining SenTech AI\u2019s sensor technology with Televitas’ medical platform, this project ensures smooth integration with existing healthcare systems, allowing for proactive interventions and prevention strategies<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pilot Study and Validation<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

To test the system\u2019s effectiveness and practical application, a pilot study with 200 users will be conducted in collaboration with 2H-center<\/b>, a leading healthcare facility. The collected data will be integrated into existing medical workflows, enabling health professionals and employees to gain real-time insights into mental workload and potential risks. The Eindhoven University of Technology will provide scientific expertise in cognitive health and software engineering to support the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
