As an innovation company, The Future aims not only to support innovation, but to accelerate it. This requires up-to-date knowledge of the market, insight into emerging applications and a strong connection with daily practice. Especially in areas such as education, XR and digital learning materials, it is essential to stay closely connected to current developments.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why The Future attended the Npuls Community Day<\/strong> on behalf of EduXR<\/strong>. During this event, several education communities came together to share knowledge, exchange experiences and discuss new developments in education innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Representing EduXR<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Future attended the event on behalf of EduXR together with Joke Lippens from VIVES University of Applied Sciences<\/strong>. Nick van Breda from Avans University of Applied Sciences<\/strong> was also present. He is involved in the EduXR consortium and also acts as regional coordinator for Npuls.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Community Day provided an opportunity to reconnect with existing contacts, meet new people and follow the latest developments in XR and digital learning materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

A broader perspective on education innovation<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

During the event, several communities were brought together. As a result, the focus was not limited to XR, but also included broader themes within education innovation and digital learning materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

This broader perspective made the day particularly valuable. XR applications do not stand alone. They only create real impact when they are properly connected to didactics, classroom practice, learning objectives and implementation within educational institutions. The combination of technology, educational content and practical applicability is therefore essential.<\/span><\/p>\n

For The Future, this is an important principle in innovation projects. Accelerating innovation is not only about developing new technology, but also about understanding how that technology can be applied in practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Immersive room as a strong practical example<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

One inspiring example during the day was the use of the immersive room at Graafschap College<\/strong>. This learning environment combines immersive technology with physical elements in the room.<\/span><\/p>\n

By bringing together digital projections, spatial experience and realistic additions, the immersive room creates a complete learning simulation. In this case, it showed how this approach can support powerful lessons in defence-oriented education.<\/span><\/p>\n

This example demonstrates how immersive technology can contribute to more realistic and practice-oriented learning. Students can experience, practise and reflect on situations in an environment that comes closer to real-life practice than traditional learning materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Collecting, sharing and applying knowledge<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

During the networking session, several conversations focused on the opportunities of these types of applications and on the current status of EduXR. The upcoming timeline of the project was also discussed.<\/span><\/p>\n

For The Future, events like this are valuable because they help keep innovation projects relevant and aligned with practice. By collecting insights from the field, exchanging experiences with partners and seeing new practical examples, we gain a better understanding of what is needed to move innovation forward.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accelerating innovation starts with current knowledge<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Npuls Community Day once again confirmed the importance of connecting education, technology and practice. XR and digital learning materials offer many opportunities, but successful implementation requires collaboration, educational alignment and continuous knowledge exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n

From The Future, we will continue to contribute to the acceleration of these innovations. Not from the sidelines, but by staying actively involved in the developments that are currently shaping the education sector.<\/span><\/p>\n
