Deze technologie biedt industri\u00eble gebruikers van warmte de mogelijkheid om warmteverbruik te elektrificeren en tot een week lang op te slaan, waardoor energieverbruik en aanbod op elkaar kunnen worden afgestemd.<\/p>\n

\u201cWarmte is 55% van het energieverbruik in de samenleving, maar het wordt tot op heden vaak opgewekt uit fossiele bronnen. Elektrificatie van warmte is een stap in de goede richting. Het energienet barst uit zijn voegen door de mismatch in vraag en aanbod van duurzame energie. Energie buffering, zoals met de gesmolten zout ThermalPod, biedt een mogelijkheid voor industri\u00eble warmtegebruikers om pieken in energieverbruik af te vangen en gebruik te maken van de goedkoopste energie op de dag. Naast een lagere energierekening kan onze ThermalPod een grotere netaansluiting mogelijk maken door afname en opslag van energie op tijdstippen wanneer er geen congestie is\u2019\u2019, aldus\u00a0Bram Bens<\/a>, founder van\u00a0Brabetech B.V.<\/a><\/p>\n

De technologie achter de ThermalPod is gebaseerd op een nieuwe generatie gesmolten zouten. Deze maakt het mogelijk om de processen in de industrie tussen de 100 en 400 graden te voorzien van warmte. Denk hierbij aan industri\u00eble droogprocessen of processen in de foodsector. Energie in de vorm van elektriciteit of warmte wordt opgeslagen door het gesmolten zout op te warmen wanneer er veel energie voorradig is. Zodra er warmte nodig is levert de ThermalPod deze aan het proces via een warmtewisselaar. De technologie van Brabetech is modulair en kan worden aangepast aan iedere grootte en type warmtevraag.<\/p>\n

De basis voor de technologie is door Brabetech gedemonstreerd in meerdere systemen wereldwijd. Met de oplossing voor flexibel energiegebruik draagt Brabetech wezenlijk bij aan verwezenlijking van de energietransitie. De recent gestarte samenwerking met een eerste afnemer voor een molten salt ThermalPod systeem zorgt voor een eerste bewijs hiervan in de praktijk. Deze Nederlandse afnemer gaat het systeem toepassen bij een industrieel droogproces.<\/p>\n
