For a grant application to be awarded, it is important that the project has a driving force. Especially with ecosystem projects, there is a danger that the partners will become absorbed in the issues of the day. Keeping partners sharp with regard to their roles and obligations (both substantively and in the context of accountability to the subsidy provider) is of great importance in this respect.
