Innovative Electric Rough-Terrain Forklift

Innovative Electric Rough-Terrain Forklift

Innovation for a Sustainable Future

The Future BV is proud to assist in the development of a project focused on the sustainability of the construction sector. In this context, The Future has provided support in setting up the project and played a crucial role in coordinating the collaboration and successfully submitting the grant application. Under the leadership of Lars de Hamer, an expert in sustainable construction innovation, our partners are working together to create a fully electric 4WD rough terrain forklift. This prototype promises to be a sustainable alternative to traditional diesel models and plays a key role in the transition to an emissions-free construction sector.

Collaboration as a Key to Success

This project is made possible through the intensive collaboration between Van Deurzen Heftrucks, Heijmans Woningbouw, Vissers Heftruck Service, and the Spanish company Agrimac. Each partner contributes unique expertise and resources to jointly realize a groundbreaking innovation. The Future BV has facilitated this collaboration and managed the subsidy application, allowing the partners to focus fully on the development of the prototype.

A Prototype in Progress

While the project is still underway, the initial steps toward creating a fully operational prototype are promising. The electric forklift is being designed to combine power and sustainability with an advanced drivetrain that integrates both electric and hydraulic technologies. The goal is to develop a model that matches the performance of diesel counterparts without harmful emissions.

The collective efforts of the partners demonstrate that the construction sector can undergo large-scale sustainability transformations without compromising efficiency or productivity. This project represents a significant step toward a broader transition within the industry.

Societal and Economic Impact

The impact of this project extends beyond technical innovation. By adopting electric solutions, the construction sector can significantly reduce CO2 emissions and air pollution, directly contributing to a healthier living environment. Moreover, the project stimulates economic growth by creating new market opportunities, generating jobs in the region, and developing technologies with global relevance.

A Call for Collaboration

Although this project is still in its development phase, it already provides valuable insights and opportunities. The Future BV invites new partners in the construction sector to collaborate on sustainable innovations. Together, we can develop solutions that not only transform industry but also have a positive societal and economic impact.
