Your role as Innovation Advisor at The Future
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially-minded Innovation Advisor for The Future. In this role, you will be responsible for securing new projects and partners and developing innovation plans for these partners. Together with a team of advisors, you will ensure that deadlines are met and projects are successfully completed.
What will you be doing?
As an Innovation Advisor at The Future, you will support and advise entrepreneurs in developing innovation roadmaps and applying for subsidies for sustainable innovations. You will provide up-to-date knowledge of subsidy opportunities and help build strong proposals that stand out. You will maintain your expertise and deepen your understanding of the latest technologies by visiting companies, knowledge institutions, and (technology) events. Additionally, you will maintain a network of stakeholders in the sustainability domain, connecting contacts and creating opportunities to accelerate innovations.
While working on applications, you will take the lead and structure the tasks so that you and your colleagues meet deadlines on time.
As an Innovation Advisor, your daily tasks will include:
- Drafting project plans and budgets in collaboration with the client;
- Holding acquisition meetings with clients either on-site or via digital meetings;
- Identifying new subsidies and/or credits and bringing them to the attention of existing clients.

We offer a variety of customized services related to innovation and subsidy advice, project management, project communication, reporting, and engineering. Examples of themes where we are active in include the development of sustainable fuels, greening the construction industry, circular use of plastics, energy storage & smart grids, smart city concepts, AI-related innovations, innovative labour market projects, innovative mobility solutions, and smart healthcare solutions.
As a company we have seven employees divided into various roles at different levels.
Who are you?
- You have completed an HBO or WO degree (higher education), preferably in innovation management, industrial engineering, or a technical field such as mechanical engineering, sustainable energy technology, or electrical engineering;
- You have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role;
- Experience in developing projects and drafting subsidy plans;
- You have knowledge of available schemes or are willing to learn about them;
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and know how to attract projects and clients;
- You possess strong leadership qualities and are able to coach a team; and
- You are curious and a true team player who elevates projects to a higher level.
What do you get in return?
- A one-year contract with the intention of extension;
- A salary between €4700 and €7500 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on your knowledge and experience;
- 25 vacation days based on full-time employment;
- Hybrid working, with at least 3 days per week in the office;
