Senior Innovation and Subsidy Consultant

Location: Eindhoven (City Centre / Strijp-S)Hours: 40 hours per week Are you an experienced Innovation/Subsidy Consultant ready for more than just writing excellent applications? You know the field, the regulations, and the application process, and you know you are ready for the next step. As a senior, you take charge. You will be involved early on, clarify the issue with the client, determine the financing strategy, and lead the process from intake to submitted application (and often: to the start of implementation). You will be the single point of contact for your own client portfolio and visibly improve the quality of the team. Are you ready for a role where you raise the bar, build lasting relationships, and grow alongside a rapidly developing organisation? Then read on!

What will you do specifically?

You will help companies and knowledge institutions realise their innovation ambitions by developing roadmaps, project plans, budgets, and grant applications. This way, you ensure that good ideas aren’t left on paper, but are actually implemented.

In practice, this means that you will:

  • Analyse social and technological issues and translate them into promising projects and a clear financing strategy.
  • Contribute to project structure, collaboration formats, roles, and substantive focus, including risks, division of responsibilities, decision-making, and planning.
  • Independently manage and deliver subsidy applications (and associated budgets/work packages).
  • Collaborate within and with consortia of companies, knowledge institutions, and government agencies; you keep the lines of communication tight and the collaboration manageable.
  • Coach and train junior and mid-level consultants in the field.
  • Oversee projects until the start of implementation, with an eye for progress, deliverables, and impact. You will be responsible for your own projects and (key) client relationships and will also bear structural responsibility for growth: you will develop new business and partnerships, manage a healthy pipeline and revenue, and take a leading role in coaching and quality assurance within the team.

What we offer you

  • €6,000 – €7,500 gross per month (depending on experience).
  • Hybrid working and flexible working hours.
  • Laptop, phone, and lease car.
  • 25 vacation days and a pension plan.
  • Significant autonomy and substantive responsibility.
  • Opportunities to further develop your role and help shape The Future’s growth.
  • Opportunities for growth towards partner.
  • Lunch at the office is provided. We regularly organise team outings to celebrate successes. And precisely because we are growing, you will be given both space and responsibility: your contribution counts from day one.

What you bring to the table

You are an experienced consultant who brings structure to complex innovation challenges, can write sharply, and is comfortable in discussions with entrepreneurs and partners. • 5+ years of relevant work experience in innovation and subsidy advice (preferably experience in a consultancy).

  • Completed higher professional or university education, preferably in innovation management, technical business administration, or a technical field.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; you can reduce complexity to a compelling narrative and a feasible plan.
  • Network and substantive knowledge in domains such as Energy, Circularity, Mobility, IT, Climate Adaptation, High Tech, and Defense are a plus.
  • Ownership of projects, relationships, and content; you focus on quality and results.
  • You identify commercial opportunities, dare to take initiative, and build sustainable client relationships.
  • Experience allows you to easily navigate various stakeholders and maintain control within consortia.
  • Experience coaching junior and mid-level consultants.
